Design a mobile app interface in accordance with existing user flows and UX research provided by the client. The app is focused on encrypted communication and is designed to merge multiple device types into a single easy-to-use central point. General features include Push-To-Talk radio channel communication, messaging, voice memos and rich media attachments. Advanced features include multi-channel linking, audio log playback and audio mixing. Light and dark mode design specifications must be provided. The app should meet all accessibility standards as outlined by material.io.
The design for this application was inspired by existing secure communication products such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Skype, Line, Walkie Talkie, Radio FM and others. Extensive research was conducted into established communication and use patterns to make the app as intuitive as possible. To ensure design consistency, the HealthNet app was broadly divided into Home screens, Chat screens and Tertiary screens. Tertiary screens were used to manage more advanced functions such as talk group creation and channel linking.
